Rooster Rex Productions is a film production company founded by Birmingham duo, Director Jack Hughes and Producer Daniel Simmons. Built on a commitment to creating captivating, character-driven narratives, Rooster Rex combines irreverent themes and original storytelling to entertain audiences.

Their debut short film, Dusty Do Good , has garnered critical acclaim, with nominations at prestigious festivals across the UK, USA, Spain, and France, including the BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying LA Shorts. Collecting multiple awards throughout its festival run, Dusty Do Good is soon set to release online. 

Upcoming projects include Deadheading (in post-production), a dark comedy that explores the extreme lengths an elderly woman will go to fulfil her husband’s dying wish and Jackpot, Montana (in development), a comedic western following two hapless prospectors on their final, high-stakes search for gold.
